Mangaluru: Accused who escaped from police arrested

Mangaluru, Nov 30: The policemen have succeeded in taking into custody an accused who had escaped from them when he was being taken for questioning. He was found from near Yelathur near Mulky.

The accused, Sameer (22) from Davanagere was being taken for spot verification by the policemen in a jeep relating to several cases of thefts within the limits of Mulky police station on Sunday November 28 night, when he had suddenly jumped out and run away.

The police got reliable information that Sameer was seen walking by Yelathur near Mulky on Monday afternoon. When they went and searched for him, Sameer was found and taken into custody.

During the last four days, two accused who were being questioned, had escaped from the police, and both were arrested by the police with the support of the locals.
