Doha: Tulu Koota’s Fun-filled Family Day Out Reinforces Oneness

Doha, Nov 19: Tulu Koota Qatar, one of the oldest social cultural organizations functioning in Qatar, hosted its annual Eid Picnic at Shamaal Garden on Wednesday November 17 for it’s members and their families. Early in the morning, around 125 members of the Tulu Koota, along with their family members, assembled at the Gulf Cinema to begin their journey to the picnic spot.

On reaching the garden, Koota president, Ramachandra Shetty, addressed the gathering and began the day with a welcome note that was followed by games. The special attractions of the day were games like breaking the pot, Lagori and bingo. 

Prakashchandra Ajila, Archana , Navaneeth Shetty, Sandesh Anand, and Kiran Anand, coordinated the sports activities, while Akshatha , Shobha, Vani Prakash, Della Rego,  Sharmila Hegde, Prarthana, Akshaya, Lakshmi Shetty, Anil Shetty, Yashpal Puthran, Keshav Moolya, Nitesh and Vishwananth Shetty lent support to the co-ordinators in sports events.




























































Breakfast and lunch were sponsored by Ashmathi Ali, vice president of Tulu Koota Qatar, and the managing director of Golden Trading. Transport was arranged by Ravi shetty, Manjunath Shetty and Dinesh Nayak.

Shankar Shetty and Diwakar Poojary conducted the bingo. Sridhar Nayak, Mohan J, Umesh Nayak, Nitesh, Dattatharya Patkar, Nagesh Shetty, and Sunil Bhandary, supervised general arrangements at the venue. Vivian D'souza sponsored tea for the day.

The closing ceremony was compered by Archana N Shetty. Kiran Anand announced the names of winners, while Yashpal Puthran proposed vote of thanks.  Those who took part in the event not only had great fun, but also were overwhelmed with a feeling of oneness, that of belonging to the Tulu Koota Family.

    Congratulations to Tulu Koota Qatar for successfully organising the Annual Picnic. Photos reveal the oneness among the koota members irrespective of the cast and creed . We really missed it. Three cheers to the volunteers who worked hard.
