Mangaluru: ‘Swar–Samarpan’ classical vocal music concert to be held on Dec 12

Mangaluru, Dec 3: ‘SwarSamarpan’, a programme featuring classical vocal music concerts is going to be held as part of the birth centenary of Bharath Ratna Pt Bheemsen Joshi on December 12, 5.30 pm in Ravindra Kala Bhavan of Mangalore University College.

The Programme will be held under the joint auspices of Sangeet Bharati Foundation®, Mangaluru and Sangeetacharya Pt D V Kanebuva Pratishthan of Pune. With musicians of national renown on the classical concert the programme will host a music feast to the music lovers.

The programme includes classical vocal concert by Krishna Mukhedkar of Pune, Santoor recital by Dhananjay Daithankar and classical Vocal concert by Manjusha Patil. Prashanth Pandav of Pune on the Tabla and Narendra L Nayak of Mangaluru on the Harmonium will accompany the main artistes.

There is free entry to all music lovers to ‘Swar-Samarpan’programme. They will follow all COVID 19 safety norms and make the best use of this opportunity, appealed Ustad Rafique Khan, the president of Sangeet Bharathi Foundation (R) Mangaluru.
