Udupi: Grand Reception Accorded to Kalahastendra Swamiji on Arrival

Udupi, Nov 20:  A grand reception was accorded to Sri Kalahastendra Swamiji of Anegundi Samsthan on his arrival in Katpady in the district on Friday November 19.

The Swamiji is on a visit to Katpady after the completion of his Chaturmasya Vrith at Badrinath in Uttaranchal state. Hundreds of people belonging to Vishwakarma community had gathered to welcome the Swamiji. He was then taken to Sri Kalikamba temple in the town in a grand procession.

Addressing the devotees at the temple thereafter, the Swamiji said that his four-month stay at Badrinath, which is considered not only holy but also historically a very important place, was a pleasant and enriching experience, and that his Vrith had been conducted successfully. He prayed to the God to enable every devotee of the community to visit that holy place.

Temple managing trustee, Karambally Vishwanath Acharya, Keshav Acharya Mangalore, Sooryakumar Haleangady, Kadabettu Nagaraj Acharya, Gangadhar Acharya and others were present.

Dharmendra Acharya Kasargod welcomed and proposed the vote of thanks.
