Panjim: AAP promises medical aid, remuneration hike

Panjim, Dec 5: AAP, in its election promises to the people of Goa said that it will give financial assistance to women who are not covered and also increase remuneration.

This was promised by Arvind Kejriwal at a convention at Navelim assembly segment on Sunday. This will cost the state exchequer Rs 500 crore annually. Corruption will be totally eradicated according to Kejriwal. Arvind is on a two-day visit to Goa.

The present remuneration of Rs 1500 will be raised to Rs 2500 and women aged 18 and above will be given Rs 1000 per month. This can be used by girls who have left the college due to financial constraints.

Kejriwal said that there is enough funds to carry out the projects in the state. Around Rs 4400 crores out of the total budget of Goa of Rs 22000 crores goes into corruption as per Kejriwal.

In 2017 assembly polls AAP could not win a single seat in Goa. Congress with 17 seats out of 40 was the single largest party. But BJP held the reigns due to the support of some regional parties and independent legislators.
