Kuwait: United Mangaloreans Contribute Rs 9 Lac for Charitanle Cause

Kuwait, Nov 21: United Mangaloreans Kuwait (UMK) won the hearts of the audience with their second successful show and hilarious Konkani comedy drama “Kasale Grachar Saiba” staged to generate funds for a charitable cause and the proceeds Rs 9,11,605 in all was contributed towards Christaraja Navachetana Special School, Venur, Beltangady, Karnataka, India.
The dream of helping the underprivileged turned into reality for the second time in row during a ‘Fun-filled evening 2010’, presented before a packed audience at the American International School, Maidan
Hawally here in October.
The event comprised melodious Konkani/Tulu songs, foot-tapping dances, Hindi mimicry and the hilarious Konkani comedy drama. As promised, UMK has been able to contribute a sum of Rs 9,11,605 to Christaraja Navachetana Special School, Venur, Beltangady, Karnataka, India.
The amount in the form of a draft was handed over to Sr Lilly Gomes, Sr Superior Christaraja Navachetana Special School, Venur recently by UMK members Denis Lobo, Lloyd Pinto, Philomena Saldanha and Levnis Suares.
Sr. Lilly Gomes thanked UMK and its generous supporters.
