Brahmavar: Scooty rams into road roller - Rider dies

Brahmavar, Dec 7: In an accident which happened on Sunday December 6 over Uppor bridge on national highway 66, a scooty rider identified as Venkataramana Acharya (55) from Kakkunje, Neralakatte near Kundapur, breathed his last.

Acharya was riding his scooty towards Udupi when his vehicle hit a road roller on Uppoor bridge. His helmet came loose and fell down due to the impact of the collision. His head banged against the road and he suffered critical injuries. His daughter, who was riding the pillion, was injured.

A case about this accident was registered in Brahmavar police station.
