Legislative Council elections: 99.55% polling in DK constituency

Mangaluru, Dec 10: The elections for Karnataka Legislative Council from Dakshina Kannada-Udupi local bodies’ constituency took place on Friday December 10 morning 8 am to 4 pm. In total, the constituency has registered a total polling percentage of 99.55%.

Out of 14 taluks in Dakshina Kannada and Udupi, and out of 6,040 total voters, 6,013 voters have exercised their franchise. Out of 2,915 male voters, 2,902 male voters, and out of 3,125 female voters, 3,111 female voters have cast their votes. Cent per cent polling was recorded in Byndoor and Hebri of Udupi district and 5 taluks including Moodbidri, Bantwal and Kadaba of Dakshina Kannada.

In Byndoor taluk of Udupi district, out of 258 total voters, as many as 123 male voters and 135 female cast their votes with 100% polling percentage.

In Kundapur taluk, out of 614 total voters, there are 296 male voters and 318 female voters. As many as 295 male voters and 314 female voters voted. Totally, 609 voters cast their votes resulting to 99.19% voting turnout.

In Brahmavar, there are 427 total voters of which 210 are male and 217 female voters. As many as 208 male voters and 217 voters have cast their votes. Totally, 425 voters have voted for the election with the total percentage of 99.53%.

In Udupi taluk, there are 369 total voters, of which 181 are male voters and 188 female voters. In which, 181 male and 187 female voters cast their votes. Totally 368 voters have cast their votes resulting to 99.73%.

In Kaup taluk, out of 288 total voters, there are 134 male and 154 female voters out of which 133 male and 152 female voters cast their votes. Totally, 288 voters have cast their vote resulting in 98.96 polling percentage.

In Hebri taluk there are 122 total voters of which 57 are male voters and 65 female voters. Totally, 122 voters have voted with 100% polling turnout.

In Karkala taluk, there are a total of 427 voters, of which 207 are male and 220 are female voters. A total of 425 voters have voted with a total percentage of 99.53.

In Dakshina Kannada, in Moodbidri taluk there are 222 total voters, of which 110 are male and 112 are female voters. Totally 222 voters, including 110 male and 112 female voters cast their vote with 100%.

In Mangaluru taluk there are 769 total voters, of which 375 are male voters and 394 female voters. In them, 371 male and 392 female voters have cast their votes. Totally, 763 people have cast their votes with the total percentage of 99.22%.

In Bantwal taluk, there are 903 total voters, of which, 437 are male and 466 are female voters. Totally, 903 voters voted today with a 100% polling percentage.

In Beltangady taluk, there are 678 total voters of which, 324 are male and 354 female voters. Out of which, 324 male and 352 female voters voted today. Totally, 676 people voted with a total percentage of 99.71.

In Puttur taluk, there are 375 total voters, of which 184 are male and 191 are female voters. Out of them, 181 male voters and 191 female voters have voted with 99.20%.

In Sullia, there are 303 total voters, of which, 135 are male voters and 158 are female voters. In them, 144 male voters and 156 female voters exercised their rights. Totally, 300 voters voted today with 99.01%.

In Kadaba taluk, there are 285 total voters, out of which 132 male voters and 153 are female voters. Out of them, all the 132 male voters and 153 are female voters cast their vote with 100%.

The counting of the election will be held on December 14 at 8 am at Rosario PU-Degree College in Pandeshwar.
