Dubai, Dec 10: 'Mogachi Lahran' a musical brand created and promoted by Vincent Fernandes witnessed one more successful show at Al Nasr Leasurland, Poolside, Dubai on Thursday December 9 evening.
Vincent along with talented young artistes presented the show after a gap of year. Vincent's seventh edition of musical album 'Mogachi Lahran Vol-7' was released during the programme by J L Dsouza, Alex Dcunha and Walter Nandalike.
John Monteiro of JAKC, noted singer Rathan Castelino, Herman Lewis of Radio Spice, Walter Nandalike of Daijiworld.com, and music director Ramiro were also present on the stage.
Speaking on the occasion, on behalf of all guests on the stage, Walter Nandalike said that though Vincent took a while in releasing his 7th volume, he has maintained his consistency as well as his enterprising ability to try new things in Konkani music. Today's young artistes should learn from him, as quite a few youngters nowadays stop releasing music albums after their first one. There may be various reasons for that, but to be recognised in society as a musician, one needs to be consistent. Walter hailed the sponsors and supporters of Vincent without whose support he would not have been able attain success.
Rathan Castelino, a talented singer who had rendered many songs on Wilfy Rebimbus' albums as well as in musical nites was honoured by Vincent Fernandes for his support.
Earlier, the musical event started at around 9 pm with a welcome dance by little children.
Vincent made a grand entry to the show with his 'Axelo' song with Ramiro and Benny. His innovativeness was evident with video clips adding expression to the songs. Vincent Fernandes himself developed the concept and edited the videos. At least six songs were displayed on the screen during the live show.
Vincent was well supported by artistes both on instruments as well as vocals.
Dony Correa, Asha Correa, Preema, Reshma, Mario Rego, Loveeta, Brian Fernandes, Jeevan, Ashok, Aron, Godwin, Sharlane, Carolyne, Savannah, Veera, Rachel and others rendered their beautiful voices to the musical nite.
The brighter side of the show was a stunning performance by young children who sang Konkani songs with keen interest under the training and supervision of Vincent Fernandes. The children from Sharjah presented group songs, and were admired by the audience.
All the songs performed on the occasion were composed and put into tune by Vincent Fernandes.
Pradeep Barboza, Deepak Dsilva and his troupe entertained the audience with side-splitting humour.
Uttam Menezes, well-known compere of UAE took charge of the evening with command over the language and superb sense of timing.
Vincent Fernandes has compiled and dedicated a song in tribute of late legendary singer Wilfy Rebimbus.
