Kannada Journalists’ Association Distributes ID Cards to Members

Mumbai, Dec 13:
The Kannadiga Patrakartara Sangh Maharashtra (KPSM) held a programme to distribute identity cards to their members at Guru Narayana auditorium of Billava Bhavan, Santa Cruz (East) here on Sunday December 12.

They also held a condolence meet for recently demised journalist Santhosh Kumar Gulvady during the function.


 

KPSM president Chandrashekar Palettady presided over the programme here on Sunday.
 
Renowned Kannada litterateur Nadoja Professor Hampa Nagaraj and Dr Kamala Hampa Nagaraj were the chief guests. 
 
LIC professional and Karnataka Rajyotsav Award recipient R K Shetty, entrepreneurs Vittal S Poojary Bhayandar and Jagdish Amin, and KPSM advisory committee member lawyer Kadandale Parari Prakash L Shetty, presented the identity cards to the journalists on the occasion.
 
Bharat Co-operative Bank chairman Vasudev R Kotian and lawyer Vasant Kalakoti garlanded the portrait of Gulvady during the programme.
 
KPSM advisory committee members lawyer B Mohiuddin Mundkoor, chartered accountant Ullurguttu Shankar M Shetty Kateel, Mumbai University head of department of Kannada Dr G N Upadhya, ‘Akshaya’ monthly bulletin honorary editor M B Kukyan, editor Eshwar Alevoor, and Harish K Hejamady, were present during the valedictory ceremony of ‘Kuvempu Sahitya Utsav’, held at Mumbai University here and organized by Akshaya monthly bulletin of Billavar Association.
 
KPSM secretary Daya Sagar Chowta welcomed the gathering.  KPSM founder honorary chief secretary Rons Bantwal delivered the introductory address.  KPSM member Nithyanand D Kotian compered the programme and KPSM treasurer G P Kusuma proposed the vote of thanks.
