Kundapur, Dec 13: The Hindu Samajotsava organized by Sri Hanumad Shakthi Jagaran Abhiyan at Nehru Maidan here on Monday December 13 drew 2,000 people in the backdrop of strict direction given at the peace meet held under the leadership of superintendent of police Pravin Madhukar Pawar.

Earlier organizers expected some 15,000 crowd, but the violence on Sunday during bike rally made people cautious to get out of homes. The air was charged with Hindutva feeling as the crowd roared at every call the speakers made to forge Hindu unity and defeat communities that try to destabilize India.

Speaking on the occasion, Karnataka Dharma Pranta convenor, Muniyappa said that there is strong witness that Ram Mandir is the place of Hindus. Even the recent verdict also upheld the arguments of millions of Hindus, where as people of minority community are still going ahead to appeal to the Supreme Court, but the final decision also will be the same, he asserted. He also condemned Arundathi Roy’s speeches on her Kashmir remarks.

‘Srirama Taraka Yajna’, procession, and religious programme were led by Sri Vikhyatananda Swamiji on the occasion. In his speech he called upon Hindus to inculcate the principles of Shree Narayana Guru and thereby be united.

Krishnaraya Shanbaug, president of Hanuman Jagarana Samiti, Kundapur province, delivered the keynote address.

Premanand Shetty, district president of VHP welcomed the gathering. K Shambhu Shetty, Zilla Sangh Sanchalak, Shankar Ankadakatte, Hanumad Shakti Jagaran Samiti compered the programme and delivered the vote of thanks.

The situation in and around the town, which turned violent after miscreants pelted stones at a bike rally moving to Kody from here on Sunday December 12, eased on Monday, as the senior police officers were present at the venue and extended tight security.

A grand procession (Shobhayatra) was carried out from Nehru Maidan to Kundeshwar cross amidst beefed up police security arrangements.

I Can't understand any issues relating to Hinduism, people connecting BJP, If all Hindus are BJP there will not be Italian Government in the Centre. In every religion good and bad people are there, commentators don't connect any religion to any party. Inteligent people paractice their religion at home it is purely personal there is no need to exhibit in the public. I never poster the people who are not participated in the Utsav are Non BJP supporters they may be inteligent BJP supporters. Long Live BJP at least stay as powerful opposition to Cong.

There is only one religion, that is truth and humanity. There is no Hindu, No muslim and no christian. If you believe in existance than it is all development and money. Religion is practiced to make us truthful and better human beings and it should be practiced at homes and place of worships and not on the streets. One of my freind sadly written that Hindu has only one country that is Hindustan. It is false. Hindus are spread everywhere and working and doing business in muslim dominated countries. Hindus live like a citizens in Gulf countries are more happy in Gulf than living in India as they are enjoying every minute of their stay. Today all that money we have seen in India is pouring from Gulf. Instead of exhibiting their muscle power in the streets, Hindus better strengthen their beliefs, home and temples and promote a civilise soceity, beleiving in co-existance and economic development. Terrorists are within and if we open our eyes, we could see how they loot the state and country by fradulent land dealing, mining and mis using the power given by people. I am very sorry to see the handful people that too, mcuh of them are unemployed, attended Samajotsva. Please note, if you hitt any body you get a hitt if not today may be after some days. If you start loving .. in turn you too get that love and care. This was the secret of low attendance in Samajotsava in Kundapura.

Being a Hindu I have very close friends in both Muslim & Christian communities. I have hardly ever seen any negative comments passed by a Hindu on any of the gatherings/ rally conducted by Muslims & Christians.

There is no objection in opposing the activities of a political party but people have to be very sensitive while commenting on other religions or religious activities. It is not proper for a muslim/catholic to comment how the Hanuman Yaga to be conducted and it should be of least concern to him whether an attendee sits under hot sun or in an AC room. This will rather increase the tension in the communities instead of creating harmony.

True Hindu's sent a clear message to the organisers.
    1. They will not like this type only before election. They want the samajotsav to really benefit their religion.
    2. They are not supporting looting or damaging the minority properties and attacking them in this time in the name of samajotsav.
    3. In India they know how to safe guard their religion and their belief.
Thanks to all Hindu brothers to send a indirect message to all.

The Guru, Mangalore, you and some people with similar mentality always refer respected Sonia Madamji as Italian. I would like to make you understand that she has got Indian nationality and now she is an Indian. Also, she has sacrificed everything, even her religion to serve people like you and me. Ofcourse, she has one one big mistake & that is she is converted. In her place Mohan or Sudhir was converted, you & your people would have created havoc in India. Regarding running the party or govt., it is purely not her fault. It proves that majority, educated people of India loves, trust and honor her & you do not have efficient & selfless people to run the party or govt. It has been proved time and again in Karnataka. Your people know only to loot & involve in scams, yet, not ready to leave their chair......shameless. Hope you understand now why Italian lady is ruling you. Have a nice day Mr. The Guru.

Religion is a purely personal or private matter. There is no need to exhibit in the public. That too there is no need for hindus to display their majority. Is is universal fact that India is a majority hindu nation. All said and done hindus are a majority. So there is no need for any samajotsava to prove that time and again. Looks like political parties like BJP are overly interested in these public displays of religion for their political purposes. No wonder there was not much response from the intelligent public.
