Gujarat, Jan 20: Karnataka Friends Cricketers under the management of Jagadish Rai Adajan held their third annual sports tournaments for Kannadigas settled in Gujarat at L P Savani Sports complex grounds, Surat on Sunday, January 16.
Veteran businessman, social worker Radhakrishna Shetty Surat inaugurated the tournaments. He said that tournaments such as these are beneficial for youth to fill them with enthusiasm and those become the platform to find their talents.
Guests of honor, Fortune hospitality’s Dayananda Shetty, Shiva catering proprietor Shivarama Shetty, Gujarat Billavara Sangha president Vishwanath G Poojary Bardoli, Kannada Samaja Surat president Dinesh Shetty, entrepreneurs Dinesh Shetty Surat, Sukesh A Shetty, Honey Garden team convener Nagaraja Shetty, Harish Shetty, social worker Radhakrishna Moolya and others were present. Fitness fame Raj Ashok Shetty Surat said that sports are inspiring in our lives.
Seven teams were in the tournament confined only to people of Karnataka origin residing at Gujarat. KFC Surat team and Honey Garden Daman teams reached the finals. KFC members were present.
The KFC team came out first and won Rs 25,000 and KFCS trophy 2022. Vijay Naik, Pradeep Shetty, Nithin Shetty, Prathvi Shetty, Chetan Kumar Daman made the team win with excellent performances. The prizes sponsored by Fortune Hospitality were presented to the winners.
Honey Garden team under the leadership of Sukesh A Shetty won the second prize.
Rajani Shetty welcomed, compered the programme and rendered vote of thanks.
