Daijiworld Media Network
Dubai, Dec 24: 29-year-old Santosh has been bed-ridden for more than 19 months, and has missed experiencing joy of Christmas celebrations since last two years. But when thoughtful and kind-hearted people around, one will not miss the Christmas in spirit.
A group of young and old members of Mangalorean community in Dubai, just did realize that the Christmas is much more than fun and celebration and with that this festive season is sure going to be new beginning for Santosh.
Readers can recall, an appeal was published on daijiworld explaining pathetic condition of Santosh who met with an accident, and has bbeen admitted in Rashid Hospital Dubai since last 19 months or so. He cannot walk, talk and far away from being normal due to the injury.
Loveeta, Lolita and Joyline from Dubai gathered some of the like-minded friends of theirs and decided to sing carols for Santosh, and while meeting people, and visiting the houses, they also realized that there is another case where a lady Bushana is suffering from cancer and needed the helping hand.
The group raised whatever possible amount to support both Santosh and Bushana and contributed for thier cause not only in cash, but also visited Santosh and sang the Christmas carols in front of him.
Santosh, who was very little aware of what was going on beyond four walls of hospital has began smiling. His eyes seem to be filled with gratitude for reminding him about the Christmas. He also is grateful for the unassuming cause carried out by the fellow native people who are not known him until then.
Speaking to daijiworld, Loveeta said that thier mission will continue to help such needy people, and also in trying to bring smile on to the faces of many who are deprived of celebrating festivals Chritsmas, Deepavali or Eid.
The total amount about 9000 AED (About Rs 1,10,000) raised through carol singing were distributed to both Santosh and Bushana.
