Fresh Covid cases drop to 12,009 in Karnataka, 50 deaths in last 24 hours

Bengaluru, Feb 5: Karnataka on Saturday, February 5 registered 12,009 new coronavirus cases.

As per the bulletin released by the state health department, the active cases in the state stand at 1,09,203. Bengaluru Urban's single-day tally stood at 4,532.

As many as 50 deaths due to coronavirus were reported in the state on Saturday, the death toll in the state has risen to 39,300.

The state recorded 25,854 discharges from hospitals on Saturday, taking the total discharges to 37,39,197.

So far, Karnataka has seen 38,87,733 positive cases since the start of the pandemic in March 2020.

The positivity rate for the day stands at 9.04% while the case fatality rate for the day is 0.41 %.

As many as 9,70,92,289 people have received vaccination so far.

    Weekend curfew must be continued till the end of February....Also ban all kind of gatherings till March end.....Also put police in every public places to monitor whether people are following covid norms.Police should announce in mic that omicron is more dangerous so that people fear and follow covid rules...Health infrastructure needs to be improved and also proper health care should be given to people in other districts, taluks and villages to avoid deaths....
