Kasargod, Feb 7: The mortal remains of a worker of Jharkhand origin, which were found to have been buried inside a farm, were exhumed on Sunday February. An inquest was conducted on the spot.

The body had been buried inside the farm of a farmer from Kaniyala Sudembala within the limits of Manjeshwar police station. At around noon, forensic experts disinterred the spot and brought out the body in the presence of a police surgeon.

At the request of the police, the revenue divisional officer had given permission to exhume the body. The permission was given on Saturday night. Accordingly, on Sunday the area was dug and the mortal remains were taken out.

The body had been buried near the edge of the agricultural pond. A coconut sapling was found to have been planted on it. Workers who were working with the deceased Shivanand alias Shivaj (35) helped in bringing the body out. The body was found to have been thoroughly decomposed.
