Mangalore: Ball is in Voters' Court, says KPCC Prez on ZP, TP Elections

Mangalore, Dec 26: Karnataka Pradesh Congress Committee president G Parameshwar stating that the party has been getting good response from public all over the state through out his campaign, termed that the ball was in voters' court. He thus requested the people Dakshina Kannada and Udupi district to vote for the eligible and honest candidates.
Addressing a press conference at the district Congress office on Sunday December 26, Parameshwar said that the time was nearing for the revitalization of the party and this has been realized as youth have been prioritized while selecting candidates for the TP and ZP elections. Adding further he asserted that educated, MBAs, Law graduates and double graduates are in fray this time. This is an attempt made by the party to bring youth to the effective governance, he added.
Commenting on Chief Minister B S Yeddyurappa’s governance in state which has suffered severe setback and instability many a times for which Yeddyurappa reasoned opposition parties’ role, Parameshwar said that people are well aware that corruption has reached its peak to which helplessly Yeddyurappa his trying to point fingers at Congress and also has expressed desire to move to the national politics.
Moreover he accused the BJP government of indulging another operation which he coined as ‘Operation Withdrawal’ through BJP was convincing Congress and JDS candidates particularly in Tumkur, Bangalore Rural and other places to withdraw their nomination in TP and ZP election by offering bribe.
Defending all move made by the governor Hansraj Bhardwaj, Parameshwar said Yeddyurappa led BJP government has dishonored the governor by neglecting all regulatory move of governor.
MLA Ramanath Rai, leaders Ivan D’Souza, Vinay Kumar Sorake and district Congress secretary T K Sudhir among others were present.
