5,339 fresh Covid cases reported in Karnataka, 48 deaths reported in last 24 hours

Bengaluru, Feb 9: Karnataka on Wednesday, February 9 registered 5,339 new coronavirus cases.

As per the bulletin released by the state health department, the active cases in the state stand at 60,956. Bengaluru Urban's single-day tally stood at 2,161.

As many as 48 deaths due to coronavirus were reported in the state on Wednesday, the death toll in the state has risen to 39,495.

The state recorded 16,749 discharges from hospitals on Wednesday, taking the total discharges to 38,11,615.

So far, Karnataka has seen 39,12,100 positive cases since the start of the pandemic in March 2020.

The positivity rate for the day stands at 4.14% while the case fatality rate for the day is 0.89 %.

As many as 9,77,65,313 people have received vaccination so far.

    Police should be there in every public places to monitor whether people are following covid norms or not.If not followed then huge fine and FIR should be should be imposed Also booster dose should be given to everyone.....Rtpcr or RAT test should be done for people to attend small gatherings and marriage function even for vaccinated.... These are only solutions to end pandemic......Timely covid treatment and medicine are must to save lives..
