Feb 10: Dakshina Kannada reports 90 Covid cases, Udupi adds 78 infections

Mangaluru/Udupi, Feb 10: Dakshina Kannada on Thursday, February 10 reported 90 new coronavirus cases. The case positivity rate for the district stands at 1.62%.

As per the district health bulletin, a total of 27,70,473 samples have been tested so far, out of which 26,30,271 have turned out to be negative.

The total number of positive cases in the district has risen to 1,34,751 out of which 1,143 are currently active.

As many as 282 patients were discharged from hospitals on Thursday, taking the total number of recoveries to 131795.

The death in the district on Thursday is 3. The death toll in the district so far stands at 1,813.

The district administration has collected Rs 1,15,12,180 in fines for 95,284 mask violations.

Udupi

A total of 78 new cases were reported on Thursday. The total active Covid cases have risen to 994. A total of 557 patients were discharged from hospitals on Thursday.

Udupi taluk reported 46 cases, Kundapura 16 and 16 cases in Karkala.

    Put police everywhere in public place to monitor whether people are following covid norms or not..If not following, fine and FIR should be registered.....Please give booster dose to everyone including children....Also Compulsory covid test for people who attends gatherings.....Only negative test should be produced to attend any gathering....
