Udupi, Feb 17: State minister of revenue R Ashok will be staying at Aroor village in Brahmavar taluk on February 19 as part of the 'deputy commissioner's walk towards village’ programme'. Deputy commissioner Kurma Rao has directed officials to make necessary preparations for the purpose.
The DC was speaking after presiding over the meeting held about the minister’s sta at DC’s office auditorium on Tuesday, February 15.
The minister of revenue will visit Karkala taluk first, participate in Kadata Vilevari Saptaha programme, revenue fair, and distribution of facilities to the beneficiaries before visiting Kokkarne, Aroor and Kenjur grama for village stay. The deputy commissioner directed to welcome the minister and to hold various cultural programmes in the evening at Aroor.
"The minister will stay at Morarji Desai school, Aroor. Necessary arrangements should be made for his stay. He will distribute title deeds under 94 CC, facilities under social security, Covid compensation cheques, title deeds of sites and facilities of various departments. Necessary stalls providing details of various schemes and necessary arrangements should be made to receive appeals from people," said the DC to the officials.
“The minister will visit the Koraga colony, Kenjur grama on February 20 and consume the food prepared in the house of Koragas,” said the DC. The deputy commissioner who formed committees in the leadership of officials for the success of the minister’s stay asked the officials to work in coordination and obtain necessary cooperation from local leaders and people.
District panchayat chief executive officer Navin Bhat Y, additional DC Sadashiva Prabhu, Kundapur assistant commissioner K Raju and other district level officers were present.
