Bengaluru: Former CM Yediyurappa to make Sandalwood debut with movie 'Tanuja'

Bengaluru, Feb 20: Former chief minister B S Yediyurappa is all set to make his debut on the silver screen with Sandalwood movie 'Tanuja'.

Earlier, when Yediyurappa was the chief minister, a girl by name Tanuja had expressed her helplessness in writing NEET examination due to Covid and later had written the examination with the help of two journalists. This girl passed NEET and the incident had drawn countrywide attention.


Tanuja had travelled 350 km in order to write the exam. Her story is thrilling. The movie is being directed by Harish M D Halli.

Yediyurappa will be donning the actual real life role of chief minister in the movie. The team, who is upbeat about the former CM acting in the movie, said that he has finished the first part of shooting and done a marvelous job.

'Tanuja' movie is being produced under the banner of Beyond Vision Cinemas. Shooting has taken place at several places of Shivamogga and Bengaluru.

Sapta Pavoor, who acted as protagonist in the the movie ‘Sarkari Hiriya Prathamika Shale Kasargod’ is playing the lead in the movie. Cast includes Yediyurappa, Vishweshiaraiah Bhat, Dr K Sudhakar, Rajesh Nataranga, Kailash, Sandhya Arakere and Baby Shree. Music is provided by Pradyotana. Cinematography is done by Ravindranath. Umesh R B is the editor of the movie. Dialogues are written by R Chandrashekhar Prasad and J M Prahlad.
