Bengaluru: Foreign journalist calls slain Harsha 'terrorist', DGP dismisses claim

Daijiworld Media Network - Bengaluru (SP)

Bengaluru, Feb 22: A foreigner journalist has termed the HIndu worker who was murdered in Shivamogga as a 'terrorist' in his Twitter account. Director general of police (DGP), Praveen Sood, has responded to the same by clarifying that the information is false.

Journalist C J Werleman, who is a correspondent for Byline Times and a columnist for Inside Arabia as per his Twitter profile, had tweeted that a "terrorist belonging to the Hindu extremist group #BajrangDal, which carried out a wave of terrorist attacks against Muslims in Tripura in November, was killed in Karnataka - last night."

In another tweet, Werleman said that Bajrang Dal is a "youth wing of VHP, which the US government has identified as a 'militant religious outfit' aka terrorist organization".

In response, Praveen Sood termed the entire information as 'false'. He said that the person who was killed had no connection withi either terrorism or the violence in Tripua. He has outright dismissed thie allegation made by Werleman by reiterating that Harsha's death, terrorism, and Tripura do not have anything in common.

It may be recalled that when Harsha was having tea near a canteen on Sunday night, he was attacked by a gang of young people who came in a car. The gang escaped after committing the crime, leaving Harsha, who had collapsed, bleeding. Harsha was taken to McGann Hospital but he died there due to injuries sustained during the attack. The murder sparked a wave of violence in Shivamogga, where a tense atmosphere continues to prevail and prohibitory orders are in force.

Hope everyone pray for peace and harmony than supporting directly or indirectly hate, murderers or religious biases based on discrimination or harassment on organizations or its affiliations. Many tried to harm Christians attacking and labeling them as conversion etc but thank god Christian's always down played and practiced.peace at all time. People follow the Christian's are the examples to live in peace. Every nation requires peace.and love to one another. Nobody can live with hate and false news.

On what ground DGP has given clearance. Sardar Patel banned RSS during his time can be recalled here. Everyone in India scared of RSS and BD... So this is what their principle? Are they role model to the peaceful society? DGP has to answer these question. Now I understand why Lawyer Jagdish was commenting about him. JH....

Pls do a background check,he had 5 cases against him which included assault and attempt to murder as well. Killing someone is wrong yes,but also at the same time here the victim was innocent after all. You live by the sword and it comes back to haunt you soon. What has happened is sad but this must be a learning curve for youngsters of every religion that fighting in the name of religion, caste, politics and other nonsense gives you nothing, you simply are a pawn who keep mocking others beliefs and karma comes back sooner or later.
