Journalist C J Werleman, who is a correspondent for Byline Times and a columnist for Inside Arabia as per his Twitter profile, had tweeted that a "terrorist belonging to the Hindu extremist group #BajrangDal, which carried out a wave of terrorist attacks against Muslims in Tripura in November, was killed in Karnataka - last night."

In another tweet, Werleman said that Bajrang Dal is a "youth wing of VHP, which the US government has identified as a 'militant religious outfit' aka terrorist organization".
In response, Praveen Sood termed the entire information as 'false'. He said that the person who was killed had no connection withi either terrorism or the violence in Tripua. He has outright dismissed thie allegation made by Werleman by reiterating that Harsha's death, terrorism, and Tripura do not have anything in common.
It may be recalled that when Harsha was having tea near a canteen on Sunday night, he was attacked by a gang of young people who came in a car. The gang escaped after committing the crime, leaving Harsha, who had collapsed, bleeding. Harsha was taken to McGann Hospital but he died there due to injuries sustained during the attack. The murder sparked a wave of violence in Shivamogga, where a tense atmosphere continues to prevail and prohibitory orders are in force.
