Bantwal, Feb 24: The lifeless body of a man who was found to have been murdered, was recovered from a house in Kanthamoole, Chandalike, Vittal in the taluk.

The man who lost life in this incident has been identified as Dinesh (45) from Kanthamoole.

Dinesh was found to have been murdered inside a room in his house. The said house was inhabited by Dinesh and his father, Vasanth Gowda. Therefore the needle of suspicion is on the victim's father.

Vittal police visited the spot and undertook scrutiny. It is said that the father, frustrated at the fact that Dinesh got drunk and raised a din, hit his head hard as a result of which Dinesh died due to excessive bleeding.

Both Dinesh and Vasanth used to work as coolies. Both were addicted to liquor and it is felt that they would have fought in a drunken stupor.
