Udupi: DC seeks information on local citizens in Ukraine

Udupi, Feb 24: In the wake of the ongoing war between Russia and Ukraine, Deputy Commissioner Kurma Rao has appealed to the public to share information regarding any local citizen stranded in Ukraine.

In a communique, he said, "If any local citizen involved in business, education, jobs or any other purpose is in Ukraine now, it is necessary to gather information regarding them."

He has requested the public to share any information about the locals stranded in Ukraine by calling the control room number 1077 of the Deputy Commissioner's office, Rajathadri Manipal.

The communication is issued following reports that several Indians are stranded in Ukraine owing to the military strike by Russian forces.
