Mangaluru: BJP holds massive protest at Kavoor, blames Congress for chaotic situation in state

Daijiworld Media Network – Mangaluru (MS)

Mangaluru, Feb 26: A huge protest meeting was held at Kavoor in the city by BJP Uttara mandala condemning Congress party’s obstruction to conduct assembly session and disturbing peace in the state.

Protest procession was taken from Kavoor BJP office to Kavoor junction during which anti-Congress slogans were raised by the protesters.

Addressing the protesters, MLA Dr Bharat Shetty condemned the obstruction of legislative assembly session by the Congress party and said, “Congress should have joined hands with ruling BJP is passing hundreds of pro-development acts for the progress of the state. However, they are disturbing the assembly session and holding national flag inside the assembly and thereby showing that they are anti-nationals.

“Congress could not express its views on Hijab and got together with SDPI in order to secure its vote bank. They instigated the minds of Muslim girl students who were getting educated. Educational field is equal to all. People of all castes and religion have to get educated and enter into the main stream of the society. However, they have given priority to religion than education and have showed their narrow mind of taking the Muslim girl students back to Stone Age from modern times.

“Communal Muslim goondas killed Bajrang Dal activist Harsha in Shivamogga and showed their cruelty. We have caught the assailants within six hours and have sent them to jail. BJP government has controlled the situation in a determined manner and has given clear warning that it will not tolerate such acts during its rule. This is a conspiracy to create communal disturbance during the regime of BJP and malign the name of BJP.

“Earlier, attempt was made to put fire to Bunder police station in Mangaluru in the pretext of protesting against CAA. Attempt was made to create communal violence in KG Halli by torching the house of Dalit MLA of Congress. Leaders of Congress party themselves have kept a distance from the Dalit MLA of their party without coming to his assistance.

“In certain gram panchayats of Mangaluru north legislative assembly constituency, SDPI and Congress are holding power by mutual alliance. If Congress members want to distance themselves from communal forces, they have to resign immediately and come out,” he said.

BJP president of Uttara Mandala Tilakraj Krishnapura, BJP district secretary Pooja Pai, vice president Ganesh Hosbettu, district media incharge Randeep Kanchan, chief secretaries Rajesh Kottari, Sandeep Pacchanady, members of MCC, president and members of gram panchayats, chiefs of various morchas, mandala leaders and BJP activists were present.

They are habituated to take advantages from dead bodies & continue doing this in future too... They mastered art of taking political benefit from any incident, by giving it communal and nationalism/patriotic angle! they could not even think that, their own govt is in power at both state and center and jumped on roads, before people make them responsible for a youth killing due to their political agenda.

Dear Clifford, Mangalore, It is very much Nehru and Gandhi ruling. They have left such an impression that we expected that to change...when we voted the former CM of Gujarat as PM, especially when he called the then front man with no power Maun-Mohan Singh. But today, our PM is more maun than Maun-Mohan Singh. That is the lasting effect of Nehru Gandhi impression into how it works in Delhi. When our current PM became PM for the first time, there was chaos in the left leaning press across the world. Some Indian origin British MPs said it is disaster for India in their open columns. But, there was one Indian who wrote in Guardian UK, I vividly remember who wrote....do not expect any change; Congress and BJP are different faces of same coin. When in power they act the same way. Given the option of Raul Gandhi, I would still prefer a much more maun Modi in Delhi. No, we do not want to start a civil war in India by giving even an outside chance to political curse like Mamata or Kejriwal.

FYI, Moun Mohan held hundreds of open press conferences during his tenure and answered/clarified people’s perception of running his govt directly interacting with people one-on-one not hiding behind one way monkey Ba’ath. Whereas feku big mouth did not have a single open press conference to answer people about transparency of running his govt and his accomplishments???. Only his guilt and bad governance is holding him back to answer people. Your unwarranted protests and chaos are proof to cover up his misadventures.

I thought BJP was in power and not in opposition. They were when HDK was the Kingmaker for sometime. Now I suspect they are in power. Clearly, even the civil service and police service is thinking hard to do their job wondering what will happen to them if BJP does not return to power if they take a firm stand and implement court order in rule and spirit. Yes, Congress is desperate to return to power and trouble started every time they attempted to return to power.

Conveniently transferring the blame on opposition when it’s hot and spicy. Hijab issue was raised by right wing groups. Muslim women were wearing hijab from the beginning without any objection from anyone till recently BJP goons illegally barged into schools and colleges and opposed it by wearing saffron shawls. It’s the duty of opposition to demand justice from the ruling govt in the state assembly. Funny MLA Dr Bharath Shetty should complain about hindering development by opposition holding up the state assembly, what development he is talking about?. FYI, congress is demanding report of development of hijab controversy, real culprits of murder of Harsha, prayer centre demolition and Eshwarappa’s anti national flag statement. People don’t expect any other development from BJP. It’s your constitutional duty to open you mouth and answer the opposition without any blame and excuses to divert attention. Street protest has nothing to do with assembly proceeding, it’s only for media propaganda.
