Udupi: Cops nab mobile thief duo in lightning chase at Indrali railway station

Udupi, Feb 27: The local and railway police apprehended two mobile thieves from Indrali railway station within no time after theycomitted the crime.

The arrested accused are identified as Shahabuddin and Tanvir Alum, both natives of Bihar.

Paul Pinto had arrived from Mumbai on the night of February 25 by Matsyagandha Express train and had kept his mobile phone for charging in the railway station. Two people had stolen his mobile at around 7 AM of February 26 and run away. Local police and railway police who were on duty chased, caught and brought them to Manipal police station.

Police also confiscated five mobile phones valued at Rs 58000 from the accused. A case in this connection is registered in Manipal police station.
