Dubai: No more PCR report for vaccinated, masks in open spaces

Dubai, Feb 27: The emirate opened to a relieved weekend with the announcement of easing of Covid-19 preventive measures in the UAE from Saturday, February 26.

The Supreme Committee of Crisis and Disaster Management headed by Sheikh Mansoor bin Mohammed bin Rashid Al Maktoum announced that the Covid restrictions under the National Emergency Crisis and Disasters Management Authority’s (NCEMA) had been relaxed follwing the changed pandemic scnario.

Another breather anounced is that the wearing of masks will no more be compulsory in outdoor areas. However masks continue to be mandatory in all public indoor venues in the emirate.

Quarantine rule is removed forr the close contacts of COVID-19 positive cases who are not experiencing any symptoms.

As per updated travel protocols, it is mandatory for the Dubai-bound travellers to produce an approved COVID-19 vaccination certificate with a QR code.

Inbound travellers without vaccination will need to show a negative result for a PCR test done within the last 48 hours or a certificate of recovery from COVID-19 containing a QR code, obtained within one month before the date of travel.
