Kalaburagi: Pramod Mutalik, Chithra Kundapur banned from entering district

Kalaburagi, Feb 27: Deputy Commissioner Yashawant V Gurukar has issued an order on Friday banning state president of Sri Rama Sene Pramod Mutalik and Chithra Kundapur from entering the district from February 27 to March 3 for the purpose of maintaining law and order in the district. This prohibition has been imposed on Mutalik and Chaithra under sections 132, 143, 144 and 144a of CrPC act of 1973.

In addition, Sri Siddalinga Swamiji of Karuneshwar Math of Andola in Jevargi taluk is also banned from entering Alanda taluk from February 27 to March 3.

The measures have been taken following the Sandal and Shab-e-Barath programmes organised on March 1 at Laadle Mashak Dargah of Alanda. On the same day, Mahashivarathri is also being celebrated.

The banned seer had given a call to cleanse the Shivalinga that is inside the dargah. He had also called for 'Alanda Chalo' programme on February 27 that led to the ban on him.
