Bantwal: Laptop stolen from house, case filed

Bantwal, Feb 28: On Sunday February 27, it came to light that two persons who entered a house when the family members were away, by breaking the rear door, stole a laptop and a clock. The value of the stolen items has been estimated at Rs 45,000.

Muhammed Ali from Ajjinadka works abroad. The rear door of his house at his native place was smashed with a pickaxe when Ali's mother, wife and children were not at home. Ali has connection with the mobile phone. He checked and found that two of the CCTV cameras at home were turned towards the sky. He therefore grew curious and got in touch with known people and got the incident thoroughly checked.

He made enquiries about the turning away of CCTV cameras. The family members who were away returned home and checked the CCTV camera footage which showed that between 1 and 2 am on February 2 7, two persons had come in to the house and was scrutinizing the surroundings there. There were clear signs of a theft attempt.

On the basis of a complaint made by Muhammed Siraj, brother of the house owner, Vittal police have registered a case.
