Kasargod, Mar 1: A gang of three, members of which were all masked, stabbed a doctor working for a private hospital at Nullippady here, with a knife. The injured doctor has been admitted into a hospital in Mangaluru.
At about 11.45 pm on February 27, the doctor, identified as Shabin, was stabbed by the gang in front of his residence near the Central Plantation Crops Research Institute here. Dr Shabin and his mother had attended a marriage function and returned home. The mother had stepped into the house first. As soon as Dr Shabin entered his house, a gang of three pounced on him, stabbed him with a knife and made good their escape.
No motive could be attributed to the attack immediately. The police, who have registered a case, are investigating.
