Kundapur, Mar 1: "The development of any particular place depends upon the educational institutions present there. Hence the schools should become innovative centres, " said STGC Venture Private Limited state president K Nagaraj Ganiga.
He was speaking after donating a cheque from his institution for the development of the Giliyaru Shambhavi Vidyadayini aided higher primary school in Kota.
He also said that in the present scenario because of the English medium schools, the condition of Kannada medium schools was miserable. "As our institution noticed this, we are working for the development of the Kannada medium schools," he added.
"It is not important to what extent we reached in life, but we should think about how we contributed to the development of our natives. Our MD spends a part of his earnings on society. As per his guidance, we were working for the development of different places in the state," he said.
On this occasion, STGC Venture Private Limited owner Vinod Kumar donated a Rs 40 crore cheque to Anand C Kundar, president of the school committee building. Later, Vinod Kumar was felicitated.
The alumni of the school and STGC institution state president K Nagaraj Ganiga and Tamil Nadu president of the institution, Kartikeyan were felicitated.
School administration immediate past convener Sathish Karanth, retired headmaster M N Madhyasta , building committee chief Raghava Nayak, Ibrahim Saheb Kota, G Sathish Hegde, Chandraiah Acharya, Ragahavendra Poojary, G V Ashok Herle, Sadanada Poojary and others were present.
