Karnataka reports 188 Covid cases, 12 deaths in last 24 hours

Bengaluru, Mar 2: Karnataka on Wednesday, March 2 registered 188 new coronavirus cases.

As per the bulletin released by the state health department, the active cases in the state at 4,207. Bengaluru Urban's single-day tally stood at 106.

As many as 12 deaths due to coronavirus were reported in the state on Wednesday, the death toll in the state has risen to 39,969.

The state recorded 816 discharges from hospitals on Wednesday, taking the total discharges to 38,97,239.

So far, Karnataka has seen 39,41,453 positive cases since the start of the pandemic in March 2020.

The positivity rate for the day stands at 0.45% while the case fatality rate for the day is 6.38%.
