Mangaluru: Nalin assures full-fledged efforts to bring back stranded students

Daijiworld Media Network - Mangaluru (SP)

Mangaluru, Mar 3: MP Nalin Kumar Kateel, and city south MLA Vedavyasa Kamath, visited the homes of students from the district who are stuck in Ukraine, on Wednesday March 2.

They spoke to the members of these families and instilled in them a sense of reassurance. They even spoke to the students via video call and told them that all out efforts are being made to ensure their safe return to India.

Speaking to media persons on the occasion, Nalin said that there is information that 18 students of Dakshina Kannada are still in Ukraine. He said that four to five students have already reached the neighbouring countries and that they are being brought back. "I have been speaking to the parents of these students, and also in regular contact with the students. A separate war room has been created by the BJP for this purpose. MLA Vedavyasa Kamath, is in contact with the students and getting information. The leaders are also in constant contact with the ministry of external affairs and the goal of bringing back all the students safely will be achieved, he stated.

Nalin pointed out that the central government has deployed four central ministers for this job and these ministers have reached the neighbouring countries of Ukraine where they are coordinating the task of bringing the students back to India.

He said that the death of Naveen, a student of Haveri district in Ukraine is a regrettable development. "We have spoken to the bereaved parents and consoled them. The government is extending all kinds of help," he assured.

Mr. Nalin, you guys are experts in bringing MLAs from congress. Stop lip serving on a subject like bringing back Indians from UKR. You better concentrate on MLAs not to travel back to congress.

With confusing travel advisories -- the situation which one can agree --was ominous -- was made worse by poor planning -- --- Initial reluctance to act -- High fares etc etc -- added to the confusion -- The situation had changed for the worse from Feb 15 th -- so clearly there was a window -- FEB 24 was actual invasion into Proper W. UKRAINE from earlier positions declared independent--Donetsk etc etc --- Now Ministers needlessly going to Romania etc and putting pressure on stressed diplomatic staff -- they have to look after ministers -- rather than evacuation efforts -- MINISTERS POSING FOR PHOTO OPS -- TAMASHA-- Initial efforts needed was to ensure they STUDENTS --cross borders safely -- and get them later if need be to INDIA -- Crossing borders --involved arranging buses -- with proper planning - 400 kms -- distance-- IT IS WELL KNOWN OUR EMBASSIES / DIPLOMATIC STAFF ARE NOT VERY COOPERATIVE IN SUCH EMERGENCIES --as -- -- also told by aggrieved -- STUDENTS -- ---

First question to the MP why are students from our district going abroad to study, he should see to it that students are get educated here in DK. There are so many educational institutions here in DK and students from different states and countries come to study. What war room have the BJP started? Even otherwise the war is outside.
