Udupi: Lawyer injured after accused attacks him in court premises

Udupi, Mar 5: An accused of a case who had come to the court, attacked a lawyer in the court complex premises here on Saturday March 3.

The accused is identified as Shahid Manchi. The lawyer who suffered injuries is Guru.

The lawyers’ association expressed their anguish over the incident.

It is said that both the accused and the lawyer had a verbal argument in the court premises which ended up with the assault of the latter.

Udupi town police station officials visited the spot and arrested Shahid Manchi.

    Why court is allowing Tarik pe tarik 0- there should be some limit for that to provide evidences in court for accused not given life long date to prepare false evidence and dent and temper the real witnesses. I think Shahid has given proper blow to Gururaj.

I personally met Sadam Hussein many times and he personally helped everyone. Then I migrated to New York with my family in 1987.

    Even Lawyer assaulted in Court premises - definitely court will need strong evidence against accused - that is fate of Indian Judiciary and Law, what about ordinary citizens then if attacked?
