Sharjah: Mohammed Shahada Noor Elected President of Karnataka Sangha

Sharjah, Jan 13: The committee members of Karnataka Sangha, Sharjah, elected Mohammed Shahada Noor as their president for the current year during the association's board meeting held recently.
In the presence of the outgoing president, Noel D'Almeida, the committee opened up the board meeting and unanimously chose the successor, Mohammed Shahada Noor as the president. Shahada, a well-known active member has been with the association for several years. He had earlier successfully carried out his role as vice-president of Karnataka Sangha Sharjah, sports secretary of UAE Bearys' Cultural Forum (BCF) and as president of BCF, Sharjah unit.
Yadav Kotian was unanimously chosen as the vice-president for this year while Sugandh Raj Bekal was unanimously elected the general secretary for the second term. Dinesh Achar as joint secretary, Anand Bailoor as treasurer and Vasanth Bekal as joint treasurer were also elected.
Other newly-elected office-bearers are Raju Bhandary as sports secretary, Jeevan Kuckian as joint sports secretary, Uttam Menezes as entertainment secretary, Vishwanath Shetty as joint entertainment secretary, and Shashikant Kanangi as the public relations officer.
The general body meeting was ably conducted by Ganesh Rai, ex-president of Karnataka Sangha Sharjah while chief patron Mark Denis announced the new-elected governing body and wished them all success.
The newly-elected president of Karnataka Sangha Sharjah, Mohammed Shahada Noor thanked all the committee members for electing him for the new role and promised that he would carry on his duties responsibly to keep the flag of Karnataka Sangha Sharjah flying high.
Sugandraj Bekal concluded the meeting with a vote of thanks.
Karnataka Sangha Sharjah, one of the registered association of Kannadigas, have all through these eight years of their existence hosted a number of quality programmes with the aim of maintaining the culture, language and ethics of Karnataka and have been applauded and supported by all the Kannadigas in the UAE.
