Bengaluru, Mar 6: The Karnataka Examinations Authority, for the first time, has made dress code compulsory for the examinations for the position of assistant lecturers. Candidates are prohibited from wearing full sleeves and wearing jewellery.
Male candidates who will write the examinations have to wear a semi-transparent surgical mask (N-95 and other types of masks are prohibited), half sleeve shirt, formal trousers and sandals. Similarly female candidates have to wear a half sleeve dress and surgical mask.
No candidate is allowed to enter the examination hall with full sleeves cloth, shoes, jewellery including nose piercing, necklace, earrings, bracelet and other designer wear.
Ramya, executive director of Karnataka Examination Authority said that the candidates had been asked to bring drinking water in bottles which do not have any brand names on it.
The candidates taking the examination have to bring recent two passport size photographs, hall ticket and identification documents. Any kind of electronic goods like mobile, pen drive, earphone, microphone, bluetooth, wrist watch, food items, stationery items like pencil, paper, eraser, geometry box, calculator and log table, personal belongings like wallet, goggles, belt, cap, camera and ornaments are strictly prohibited as per the information provided by Ramya.
Hall tickets for the competitive examinations of assistant lecturer positions that will be held from March 12 to 16 can be downloaded from KEA website http://kea.kar.nic.in from February 28.
