Puttur, Jan 14: Shruti, a first year degree student of St Philomena College here, has clarified that she does not have anything to do with some obscene videos that are being circulated through mobiles between people in the region. She said that some vested interests had been trying to malign her by circulating a rumour about her involvement with this CD.

Speaking to reporters in the company of some leaders of Vishwa Hindu Parishat (VHP) and Bajrang Dal here on Thursday January 13, Shruti said that she had filed a complaint with the town police station here about the sexually explicit videos being circulated on mobiles, on October 30, 2010. She alleged that the police department has not acted upon the said complaint.

VHP local president, Rakdhakrishna Bhat, said that an organized racket aimed at spreading misleading information about innocent Hindu girls is working in the region, and urged the policemen to nail the cyber criminals involved with this heinous act. He also warned that VHP and Bajrang Dal will join hands to undertake public protest against this menace.
