Karkala: 5000 from Karnataka to Participate in ‘Kashmir Chalo’

Karkala, Jan 18: Addressing a press conference here on Monday January 17, state BJP Yuvamorcha president, V Sunil Kumar, stated that about 5,000 people will be participating in the ‘Kashmir Chalo’ programme being organized all over the country on January 26. He explained that the said programme has been taken up by the BJP Yuvamorcha to sensitize the people of the country to the problems plaguing Kashmir.

“National BJP Yuva Morcha has undertaken the programme of hoisting our national flag at Lal Chowk, Srinagar on that day. Over five lac youth from different corners of the country will take part in the programme,” he disclosed.

Kumar said that president of the national Yuvamorcha and MP, Anurag Thakur, will lead the programme. The journey, named ‘Rashtriya Ekta Yatre (journey for national unity)’ will begin from Kolkota and move through different parts of the country, before entering Jammu and Kashmir on January 25, he added. Sunil Kumar said that in the recent past, protests by separatists, violence, efforts towards weakening India, acts which insult religions and Indian Constitution, have been taking place in Kashmir. He said that pressure will be brought on the union government to take effective steps to restore peace in Kashmir.

Taluk BJP general secretary, Anand Bandimutt, Bailoor Shakti Kendra president, Antony D’Souza, taluk Yuvamorcha president, Mahavir Jain, general secretary, Navin Nayak Attur and others were present.

Mangalore

As part of the above programme of BJP Yuvamorcha, ‘Kashmir Chalo Sankalp Day’ will be held at Sangh Niketan in the city at 4 pm on January 20. The programme will be inaugurated by Dr Kamala Bhat Kalladka. Yuva Morcha state president, Sunil Kumar, and MP, Nalin Kumar Kateel, will deliver main addresses. This was stated by Dakshina Kannada district president of Yuvamorcha, Kishore Kumar Puttur, in a press conference held here on Monday January 17.

BJP Yuva Morcha state vice president, Dr Y Bharat Shetty, general secretary, Rajesh Shetty Pajeerguttu, Vasant Poojary, and Mahesh were present at the press conference.

    Now where are the sickulars who challeged BD/bjp to go to kashmir and protest. I dont remember the date and article where they challenged.i guess now they kept their tail beween the legs n ran away.
