Mangaluru, March 17:  Unidentified miscreants have damaged the cement sheet of a Kabristaan (cemetery) attached to a mosque near Aladka of Harekala village by pelting stones during the wee hours of March 15.

Also, they have thrown liquor bottles into the cemetery. In this regard, a case has been registered in Konaje police station but no one has been arrested yet. DYFI leader of Harekala unit Rafeeq alleged that this incident has been executed to divert the attention from the Hijab issue.

A month ago abusive words were written on the nameplate of a temple in the village. Even the banner of the Yakshagana programme was torn. Though a police case has been registered in Konaje police station, the accused have not been caught yet.

Tension prevails in the village due to the incidents.
