Mangaluru, Mar 17: The Konaje police have arrested a 31-year-old youth in connection with sexually harassing an Anganwadi assistant.
The arrested is Nizam, a resident of Aladka in Harekala village.
It is said that Nizam had been to Anganwadi to repair a cooking gas stove on March 16. The accused allegedly hugged the victim from behind. Later, he also asked her not to reveal the matter to anyone.
After the victim brought the issue to the notice of higher officials, she filed a case in Konaje police station today. The police have arrested Nizam and produced him before the court.
