Ukraine war killed Naveen’s body to reach Bengaluru on Monday 3 AM

Bengaluru, Mar 18: The mortal remains of the medical student from Haveri in the State, Naveen Shekarappa Gyanagoudar, who died in the Russian bomb attack on Ukraine recently, will reach early in the morning on March 21, Monday at 3 AM.

It may be recalled that Naveen who had walked out of bunker in war-torn Kharkiv to buy some food was killed in the attack by the Russian forces. His was the first death reported among Indian students stranded in Ukraine. A native of Haveri district, he was studying MBBS there.

Efforts were on by the Ministry of External Affairs to bring back his body kept in a mortuary in Ukraine.   

Chief Minister Basavaraj Bommai disclosed this information to the media representatives in Vidhana Soudha on Friday, March 18.
