Mangaluru: ‘We respect all religions equally’ – Siddaramaiah on Congress’ soft-Hindutva approach

Daijiworld Media Network – Mangaluru (ANK)

Mangaluru, Mar 19: “We are the ones who believe in Hindu religion. It is nothing like Congress follows soft or hard Hindutva. We respect all religions equally,” said opposition leader Siddaramaiah over Congress’ soft Hindutva approach in the five-state elections.

He was speaking at Mangaluru International Airport on Saturday March 19.

When asked about Muslim organizations bandh over Hijab row, Siddaramaiah said, “Bandh is done by those who showed displeasure over the verdict. No one should oppose the court’s verdict. We should not oppose the high court or Supreme Court’s verdict. No one should involve into communal activities, be it Hindu or Muslim.”

On teaching Bhagavad Gita in schools, Siddaramaiah said, “We do not oppose the teaching of Bhagavad Gita, Quran and Bible in schools. All that we say is students should be provided with quality education. The state government has not made a decision over Bhagavad Gita yet. It is only in Gujarat. Bhagavad Gita, Mahabharata and Ramayana have been taught at home. There must be moral education, but at the same time it should not be against the constitution.”

On the film ‘The Kashmir Files’ being dubbed in Kannada, Siddaramaiah said, “We are not against movie, but truth should be shown. The activities of terrorists in Kashmir, problems faced by others apart from Kashmir Pandits, whose government existed during that period and their role should be shown in the movie. Movies should include Gujarat and Lakhimpur incidents too.

“I will not watch the movie as I do not go to theatre. Moreover I do not watch much films,” he said.

Siddu respects all religions except his own. Otherwise he would not have said in public about his desire to taste beef or about visiting Dharmasthala after fish meal. These statements might have pleased some but have hurt the sentiments of others.

There is no better choice than the BJP for the Indian electorate at present. BJP will rule the country for some decades from now on. AAP may become a principal opposition party to BJP in the coming years if they doesn't follow appeasement politics. Appeasement politics of some parties doomed them very badly & it's very difficult to revive the image.

If congress had to call a 'spade' a 'spade' when minorities were attacked, masjids and churches were vandalised. Now minorities don't trust congress either. You did not have the spine to reign on RSS and all the Saffron organizations terrorising the minorities then. So 'katora' for you. AAP is our next choice.

For Sidda, more than BJP and JDS it is DKSi the contender and a hurdle. DKSi knows business better than Sidda and Sidda still believes old congress appeasement technicque of giving things free will work forever. With no proper leadership at the centre, congress is in doldrums. AAP and BJP are only big parties of future..

When these guys were cooling off after the '5 state wash out'. When they were hiding during the Hijab protests. AAP has started with a massive membership registration drive, with door to door visits .Good going. The next jolt will be in Karnataka as predicted.

It should be vote for development. State controlled media has miserably failed to praise the good work done by AAP. They won due to their hard work in Punjab. People have accepted their ideology. No wonder if AAP overthrows BJP or CONG RESS in couple of states going for election before 2024. Kejriwal is the one who can clean the political mess in India.
