Mangaluru: Srinivas University College of Allied Health Sciences celebrates 'Ethnic Day'

Mangaluru, Mar 19: Department of Clinical Psychology, College of Allied Health Sciences, Srinivas University celebrated 'Ethnic day' on March 18, at Seminar Hall, Ground floor, Engineering block, Mukka.

As Ethnicity plays a vital role in how students’ personality is shaped, in the era of modernization and westernization when most of the people are diluting and moving away from their own culture, history, and tradition, an event like Ethnic day can enable the young generation to revive love and respect for their own culture and tradition. All the students and faculties of the department came dressed in their ethnic wear and celebrated the spirit of unity and inclusiveness. The celebration was a unique mixture and the students came in various ethnic attire like Tulu, Tamil, Malayalam, Konkani, Kannada. Arunachal Pradesh, Malenad etc. along with the different traditional form of dances and Marshial arts like, Yakshagana, Margam kali, Garba, Bharathnatyam, kuchupudi and Kalari were performed by students.

The event was organised by Priyadhersini S, course coordinator, Shreaysi Roy, Asha N, and Harshitha, department of Clinical Psychology.
