Kundapur, Mar 21: “Islam does not inspire depressing actions that leads to injustice. Instead, it propagates a life of harmony and upholding of justice,” said M Abdul Rasheed Zaini Kamil Sakafi, state president of Sunni youth association.
Rasheed was speaking at the Sauharda Sangama 2022 programme organized by Noorul Huda Daff committee near Kodi beach on the evening of Sunday, March 20.
Abdul further said, “India has got the best written constitution in the world. Unity in diversity of our country is lauded by other nations in the world. All religions profess harmonious coexistence. No religion says to harm others. We have to live in peace and harmony.”
Chief priest of Kundapur zone Fr Stany Tauro said, “There is no religion that is greater than humanity. All places of worship are there to instill clean emotions in us. It is possible to live like brothers and sisters only through a clean mind and feeling.”
Speaking on the occasion, T Manjunath Giliyaru, lawyer and convener of Karnataka Dalit Sangarsh Samiti district committee, said, “Communal clashes are detrimental to the progress of India which is marching towards becoming Vishwaguru. India can become Vishwaguru only when people of all religions and castes live like brethren. Brotherhood should exist throughout the country.”
Dr S M Abdul Rasheed Zaini Kamil Sakafi, state president of Sunni youth association, Abdul Razak Khan, national political analyst, Mohammed Rafiq Gangolli, president of Udupi district Muslim federation, Dastagir, president Namma Nada Okkuta Kundapur, leader G M Mustafa, president of Daff committee Mohammed K, vice president Abdul Razak and municipality councilor Ashfaq Kodi were present.
Munaf Kodi welcomed the gathering. Arshad Kodi compered the event. State level Daff competition was held after the stage programme.
