Mangaluru, Mar 22: "BJP needs to see Mangaluru files before Kashmir Files," President of Karnataka Pradesh Mahila Congress Pushpa Amarnath ridiculed,
Addressing the media here on Tuesday, March 22, Pushpa Amarnath said, ‘It has been six years since the murder of RTI activist Vinayak Baliga but still the government has not ensured justice in the matter. Vinayak Baliga was a BJP representative who worked relentlessly for the party. The BJP government has existed for only seven years. Before questioning what Congress has done in 70 years, BJP should think about what could have been done in the last seven years of its tenure."
There is a need to know Mangaluru Files before Kashmir Files. Several murders took place in the state including Mangaluru and justice is still awaited. Harsha was murdered and so was Dinesh in Belthangady. There can be no differentiation in death. Rs 25 lac compensation was given to slain Harsha's family but on what basis only Rs 8 lac was given to late Dinesh's family? Even Dinesh was a Hindu. Why such differentiation in deaths also? We will visit the deputy commissioner’s office seeking justice for the family of deceased Dinesh. Why BJP leaders have not visited Dinesh's residence yet? Where is Shobha Karandlaje, who visits the houses of the deceased," questioned Pushpa Amarnath.
Shobha Karandlaje released a list of murders that took place here. Why is Vinayak Baliga’s name missing from the list, she asked.
