Mumbai, Mar 23: The women’s wing of Rajaka Sangha, Mumbai celebrated World Women’s day in the participation of its five regional women’s wings at Veekays English high school auditorium, Vikhroli east on March 20, 2022.
Well known poetess and author Sharada Anchan, the chief guest, inaugurated the programme. She explained the food habits that need to be followed in order to remain healthy, the precautions to be taken to prevent Cancer and the ways to self-test it by women.
Rajaka Sangha Mumbai secretary Sumitra Palimar, women’s wing president Pravina Kunder, vice president Shanti Salian, Vishala D Salian, Sumita Salian, five regional women’s wing presidents Shanta Salian, Sandhya Salian, Anita Bunnan, Divya Kunder, Sheela Salian, Mumbai women’s wing first president Sumitra Gujaran and other office bearers on the dais felicitated special achievers of Rajaka community Lalita Sunder Salian and Pramila Ganesh Salian with shawls, memento and flower bouquets.
The programme started after the prayers from Dombivili division women. Women and children, especially Baby Nirosha Salian of Navi Mumbai and Baby Dhanyata Salian from Dombivili zone performed a variety of entertainment. Women from other zones presented dances, music, skits and proverbs. Members of Mumbai women’s wing danced to the song of late singer Lata Mangeshkar and paid homage to the departed soul.
Vanita Shashidhar Salian compered the programme. Nayana Vittal Kunder rendered a vote of thanks. The programme concluded after singing of the national anthem.
