Mangaluru: Blood helpline Karnataka holds 200th blood donation camp

Mangaluru, Mar 27: 200th blood donation camp of blood helpline Karnataka was held under the aegis of rip ship world ventures private limited, Lions club Kudla and Indian red cross society at the Theological college at Balmatta.

The program was inaugurated by Shantharam Shetty of the Indian red cross. Speaking on the occasion he said that blood does not have any caste or religion but has only one color.

 

It is the greatest donation a person can make. Michael Veigas, vice president of Kodagu blood donors organization said, “we have come all the way from Kodagu to encourage Blood helpline Karnataka. We have a great relation.

Whenever the need for blood arises for patients of Kodagu region it is blood helpline Karnataka which comes to the aid.” Honorary advisor of blood helpline Karnataka Mustafa Demmale said, “For a human being, other human beings help to be self reliant. Without the barriers of religion and caste one has to help others.

Then there will be no issues. Sharif Valal, president of Coastal Friends Mangaluru and Munna Kammaradi were the special guests. 94 donors donated their blood in this camp. Dr H M Watson, principal of Karnataka Christian education society, Sridhar Raj Shetty, president of lions club Kudla, J N Bhat, Praveen Kumar of Red cross, Khaleel creative and Sukumar from Kodagu blood donors organization, Naufal, Salam Sammi of coastal friends Mangalore, executives of blood helpline Karnataka, staff and personnel of reship ventures were present. Benny Sebastian (Golden Donor of O positive Bombay Group) was felicitated on the occasion. Palso Roy, co-founder of Ripship world ventures company welcomed the gathering and anchored the event. Managing Director Ripson Jeremia proposed a vote of thanks.
