Mangaluru, Mar 28: The Graduation Ceremony-2022 of Father Muller Medical College, Father Muller of Allied Health Sciences, Father Muller College of Nursing, Father Muller College Speech, and Hearing and Father Muller School of Nursing will be held on Saturday, April 2 at 10 AM in Father Muller Convention Centre, disclosed Fr Richard Aloysius Coelho, director, FMCI (Father Muller Charitable Institutions).
Addressing a press meet at Council Hall in OPD block, Fr Richard Aloysius Coelho said, "Dr Gitanjali Batmanabane, pro-vice chancellor, GITAM University of Medical Sciences, Vizag and former director, AIIMS, Bhuvaneshwar will be the chief guest, Justice John Michael D'Cunha, former judge of high court of Karnataka will be the guest of honour and Dr Peter Paul Saldanha, bishop of Mangalore Diocese, president of FMCI will preside over the function," he said.
"For the last two years, due to the pandemic, we could not organise the graduation ceremony in a big way. This year we are organising this in a grand manner. There are 615 students from various education units of FMCI who will be graduating during the ceremony. As many as 147 graduates in MBBS, 82 in PG Degree/Diploma, one in PhD , one in M Ch (Urology), eight in Master of Physiotherapy, 41 in Bachelor of Physiotherapy, 11 in M Sc Medical Laboratory Technology, 23 in Masters in Hospital Administration, 31 in B Sc Medical Laboratory Technology, 24 in B Sc Medical Imaging Technology, severn in B Sc Radiotherapy, 32 in BASLP-FMCOSH, 93 in B Sc Nursing, 51 in PBB Sc Nursing , nine in M Sc Nursing and 54 in GNM-FMSON will be awarded degrees," he added.
He also informed that all the 615 graduates are keen to serve the society and the institute was proud of them. "Since the beginning of our educational institutions, we have never compromised with the quality, ethics and ethical practices. That is why we are proud of these graduates who are at the threshold of serving society in their respective professions. The qualities that are instilled in their hearts and minds will always stand for them in their future endeavors. They are our true ambassadors hereafter, continuing the mission of healing and comforting, thus continuing the legacy of Fr Muller", he said.

He also informed that Fr Mullers hospital spends Rs 52 crore yearly by providing concessions to needy patients in their hospital bills.
Fr Rudolph Ravi D'Sa, administrator of FMMCH informed that after the Wenlock government Fr Mullers is the hospital that treats the needy at a reasonable cost. It has helped many patients by providing concessions. There are 1250 beds in the hospitals, out of 950 are free beds, he added.
