Bengaluru, Mar 29: Anushree (16), daughter of Kemparaju from Akur village in T Naraspur taluk, Mysuru district, who had appeared for SSLC examination, collapsed and lost her life due to heart attack. This tragic incident happened on the morning of Monday March 28.
Anushree was a student of the government high school, Madapura. She came to the examination centre in T Narasipur on Monday morning, and after observing the last digits of the registration number, got seated in a wrong room and answered the question paper in Shivananda Sharma English medium school nearby for about 15 minutes. After the supervisor pointed out her mistake, she was being led to the examination centre next to the building where she was supposed to writ the examination, when she reportedly collapsed when walking on the school steps.
Education minister BC Nagesh, has mourned her death.
In another incident, a girl student of the Urdu school under the government PU college in Ilkal town went back without appearing for the examination. She said that she was prepared to stay away from the examination which can make or mar her future, but could not discard her Hijab. Efforts made by tahsildar Basavaraj Belavanki and other officials to change her mind failed to have any impact.
