Bantwal, Mar 31: “The new improved procedure of treating ICU patients by Tele System if necessary has been started at the taluk's government hospital,” said MLA Rajesh Naik.
He was speaking after inspecting the 25-bed air-conditioned facilities in the hospital.
“There were only three ICU beds in the hospital. Another 25 ICU beds have been provided now. There are seven dialysis units. Dialysis is in progress for 25 people per day in the hospital. There are morgue facilities too,” he said.
“ In all, Rs 1 crore has been released for the taluk under Amrath Arogya project at the rate of Rs 20 lac each to Benjanapadav, Rai, Navoor temple and Poonacha primary health centres,” he said.
Medical officer Dr Pushpalatha, taluk health officer Dr Jayaprakash, assistant executive engineer E P Shetty, municipal council member Hariprasad, Pramod Kumar Ajjibettu, Prakash Anchan and Arogya Raksha Samithi member Vishwanath Chandtimar were present.
The MLA also inspected the development works in the hospital. He assured that there will be no scarcity of manpower when new facilities are introduced.
