Udupi: Sri Madhwa Vadiraja Institute of Technology’s New Building Launched

Udupi, Jan 30: “The education system of India is highly rated across the world and the teachers of India also have high demand in foreign countries. In the modern era, the Indian education plays a vital role in inculcating moral values among the citizen”, said Sri Vidyasagarateertha Smamiji of Krishnapur Mutt.
He was speaking after launching the new building of Sri Madhwa Vadiraja Institute of Technology, a unit of Sri Sode Vadiraj Mutt Education Trust at Bantakal village, near Shirva here on Saturday January 29.
Sri Vishweshateertha Swamiji of Pejawar Mutt presided over the programme and said that the Sode Mutt swamiji has fulfilled the dream of his Guru Vishwotthama swmaiji. By doing so he has attained high respect and dignity, he expressed.
Sri Vishwavallabateertha Swamiji blessed the occasion and said that along with technical education the institute will also concentrate on moral education and emerge as one of the best institute in the country.
State Higher Education minister Dr V S Acharya spoke as chief guest and lauded the efforts of Sode Mutt. He said for the first time in the state an educational institute was equipped with all the technical and necessary amenities in its initial days itself.
Former minister Oscar Fernandes, Udupi-chiakmaglur Loksabha member D V Sadananda Gowda, VTU chancellor Dr H Maheshappa, Karnataka Bank managing director Jayaram Bhat, Udupi MLA Raghupati Bhat among other dignitaries were present.
Institute directors P S Revankar, Venkatesh, U Srinivas, S G Gopalakrishna, Gautham, Rajeshwar Singh among others were present. Professor H K V rao, director of institute welcomed the gathering. Sode Vadiraja Education Trust secretary Ratna Kumar delivered the key note address. S K Ashok proposed the vote of thanks. Renita Sharon and Ravi Prabha compered the programme.
